Jonathan and Jill Merrett – freelance proofreaders and editors – providing publishing services

We are freelance proofreaders, working from the south of France, where we share the running of a Bed and Breakfast (Chambres d’hôte).

Jonathan’s main speciality is proofreading and he holds a Certificate of Competency in this from Chapterhouse, the publishing trainers.  However, he is also happy to offer other publishing service,s such editing and rewriting, if that is what you are looking for. For the past 25 years he has been a teacher – a Primary and Secondary teacher and also, latterly, a headteacher – so he has many years of experience of looking at text and helping others in improving their presentations.

Jill is also a proofreader and is currently training with The Publishing Training Centre. She was also formerly a teacher, working with deaf students initially, and then as a Primary teacher.
